Livingston Lures Magnus

I am proud to announce my new lure the Magnus from Livingston Lures.

I have always been a fan of swim baits for muskies and pike but have found myself more than disappointed with the durability and consistency of lures that have been available. Taking into account the properties that make swim baits such a viable lure class for muskies while fixing some of their innate problems are some of the driving factors that lead me to create the Magnus.

The Magnus from Livingston Lures features a hard head section. This hard head not only increases the lures overall hooking ratio it allows for the inclusion of an adjustable wiegth system. The Magnus uses the same adjustable weight system as my other two hard baits the Livingston Lures Kraken and Titan. This adjustable weight system allows anglers to dial in their lures in any conditions. With Magnus there is no need to buy multiple versions of the same lure as you can change the lures running depth by changing out the weights.

This means you can run the same Magnus in ultra shallow areas and within seconds have it running eight to ten feet deep with just a few turns of a screw.

While the hard head section of the Magnus is a huge leap forward for musky lure design the replaceable soft tail section will save anglers heart ache and money. Nothing is worse that having a rubber swim-bait that is getting all of the musky and pike action then falls apart. You can only glue, burn and mend a soft lure so many times before it is absolutely unusable. However, with the Magnus you can replace the entire soft tail section of the lure in a matter of seconds. By removing the rear hook an angler can slide off an old damaged Magnus tail and easily slide on a new one. Its simple secure and above all else affordable. With musky sized swim-baits well over thirty dollars being able to replace the entire tail section of a Magnus for just a few bucks is a win on the water and for your wallet.

The Magnus will be avalible for sale in the early months of 2025. I appreciate all of the anglers world wide who have purchased Titans, Titan Jr's and Krakens. I have recieved countless photos from anglers that have put muskies in the net using my lures and I know there are going to be many, many more catches with the Magnus.

Livingston Lures EBS Technology™ electronically replicates the actual biological sounds made by baitfish in distress or a feeding frenzy. Scientific studies at Texas State University have proven that fish use both audible and perception to track and attack prey.  Natural sounds from our EBS are detected from outside visual range, doubling the effective strike-zone over traditional lures.  Price is TBD.
